Coral Leigh Dance Academy started out over thirty years ago!
Formally as Margaret Holding School of Dance, the small school originally located in Saughall.
It was open by young local dancer, Lian Mourant who after leaving dance college returned to her home town and found there was nowhere for young dancers to learn and practice dance.
The school has been a major success, it has since expanded and changed names while it now resides in Connahs Quay, North Wales as the Coral Leigh Dance Academy.
It now also runs classes in addition to Connahs Quay in Caerwys on a Tuesday.
The school teachers syllabuses with the ISTD and the Allied Dance Association.
The pupils learn coordination, control and technique in many disciplines of dance such as..
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Street, Acro, Lyrical, Commercial and contempory.
Pupils can have private lessons to learn solo dances and be a part of the competition team, there is also a group competition team.
The elite team take part in many competitions throughout the year and have won a vast amount of medals and trophies!
The academy has an annual show every December which is a fantastic opportunity for the parents to see all the hard work the children have done.
